- My name's Alice and I'm an aspiring young writer from Liverpool. There are just a few things about your work that captured my attention and i really liked, so i thought i'd let you know! Untitled - love how the stream of consciousness style is used but not so disjointed as usual. It meanders like a real thought but is coherent and eloquent. The words sound beautiful when said aloud, without being too "literary". Bird - this story just reads like it was made to be a drabble. A lot of the time we compromise our style, add the odd unnecessary word or whatever, to conform to the 100 word rule. Bird, however, fits perfectly into that structure. No word is omitted or included to the detriment of the piece. It's just right! A colourful debate - LOVE the subject of this one. It's well written of course, but the thing that really got me was the content. I've always afforded a lot of significance to colours and their various connotations within our language, particularly the fluidity of meaning and the ambivalence that something as simple as a colour can envoke in us. Keep writing, you never know how many people like me you've intrigued and inspired!
